FROM YOUR AMD

Praise God for the wonderful fellowship and awesome Spirit experienced at both of our Annual Meetings. On Monday, October 9th the Ninety-Eighth Annual Carroll Baptist Associational Meeting was held at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. The following Monday, October 16th the One Hundred& Second Annual Montgomery Baptist Associational Meeting was held at Tri-County Baptist Church. God’s presence and power was evident throughout both sessions. A heartfelt “Thank-You” goes out to both of our host churches for their loving hospitality.

Loretta and I recently traveled to Fort Wayne, Indiana where I spent several days touring the Northeast Indiana Baptist Association with their Director of Missions, Rev. Matthew Gullion. I was able to visit in many of their (37) Churches and meet several Pastors. The purpose of this trip was to look into the possibility of sending our Mission Team there to assist them in reaching a population of over ¾ of a million people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

As you can see from an announcement elsewhere in this newsletter plans are being made to send our first team in April of 2018. Let me encourage you to begin praying for this team and if you feel led to go yourself then please join us this November 16, 2017 meeting where we will be sharing more information on how you may join this team. Team members MUST be 16 years of age or over and be a member of one of our Carroll/Montgomery Baptist Association Churches.

In His service,

Brother Jim

Mission Hope

Hello to everyone,

I hope everyone is well. Mission Hope is doing pretty good staying busy with lots of stuff coming in and going out. The household item donations have increased so we have been able to help a few new families get started off with their homes. We have had a couple transients to come in needing clothes, hygiene bags, and food.

As everyone knows Mission Hope was blessed with a van and we had to remove seats to allow for hauling items. If anyone needs seats for a Ford van just give me a shot and we will see what we can do.

The construction work has slowed down due to sickness, funerals, and volunteers just busy doing other things. I do appreciate all those who take time out of their busy schedules to come and help with what God is doing here.

The Food Pantry is still a busy place on the third Tuesday and Wednesday of each month. Last month we served 66 families or 152 people in Carroll County and 162 families or 353 people in Montgomery County. The pantry is getting low on food so anyone who can help with food and the work that is on-going here at mission would be greatly appreciated.

There will be a Bible Study beginning Tuesday, October 24th – November 28th at 9:30 A.M.

Come by and see what God has blessed the Association with and spend some time here with all of us.

By the Ties of Calvary,

Randy & Lori Dees
